To discuss: page titles and breadcrumb trail
Page titles
- Page titles of individual cards are not meaningful and all identical.
- Page titles are tooooooo looooonggggg :)
Example: I opened 3 different cards but I cannot distinguish them without actually open their tabs (see screenshots).
The home page in master version is the only page which has a "correct" title.
Topics pages all have the same title: cards | R3 howto-cards fro Data Management and IT.
Individual cards have non-informative and too long title: R3 howto-cards for Data Management and IT. | Bioinformatics Core assists LCSB researchers with the organization, management, and curation of research data through its R3 initiative. This page is an index for lab cards that are intended to provide practical guidance in implementing Data Management, Data Protection and IT setup.
Topic pages in develop version (howto-latest) have title of home page: Home | R3 howto-cards fro Data Management and IT.
Good example of page titles, at my taste, has covid19.public.lu/en.html (see last screenshot).
Breadcrumb trail
How to cards do not have breadcrumb navigation that "allows users to keep track and maintain awareness of their locations within websites" [wikipedia].
As a new person I found it extremely needed: when somebody send me a how-to card link with relevant information, I would like to know the hierarchy to find it later and to check other cards on this topic.
